Geely Automobile's vehicle sales soar 53% YoY in April 2025, with NEV sales surging 144% YoY

Geely Automobile recorded total sales of 234,112 vehicles in April 2025, marking a 53% year-on-year surge and a 0.83% month-on-month slight growth.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") recorded total sales of 234,112 vehicles in April 2025, marking a 53% year-on-year surge and a 0.83% month-on-month slight growth, according to the company's announcement on May 1. This also marks the eighth consecutive month for the automaker to achieve monthly sales surpassing 200,000 units.

Among them, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 125,563 units, zooming up 144% year on year, accounting for 53.63% of Geely Automobile's total sales.

Of the NEVs sold last month, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) contributed sales of 92,360 units and 33,203 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 199% and 62%, respectively.

For the Jan.-Apr. period, Geely Automobile sold a total of 464,763 NEVs, indicating a year-on-year spike of 138%.

By brands, the Geely brand logged monthly sales of 192,796 units in April, displaying a year-on-year hike of 63%. Within this, the Galaxy NEV sub-brand achieved sales of 96,632 units, representing a 281% soar from a year ago.

Lynk & Co brand sold 27,589 vehicles last month, posting a year-on-year growth of 47%, with NEVs accounting for about 55% (15,204 units) of the brand's total monthly sales.

Zeekr, Geely's premium NEV brand, delivered 13,727 vehicles in April, reflecting a 15% decline from a year ago. On April 15, Zeekr officially launched the Zeekr 007GT model, onto the market, introducing three variants with prices ranging from 202,900 yuan to 232,900 yuan. The new model carries forward Zeekr's signature shooting brake design language and comes standard across the range with high-level intelligent driving features powered by LiDAR technology.

On the global market front, Geely Automobile exported 24,133 vehicles in April, indicating a year-on-year decline of 37%.

Regarding the year-to-date performance, the company sold 937,936 vehicles by April, which leapt 49% from the prior-year period.
