【Lithium Battery Separator Market Rebounds: Foshan Plastics Group Plans to Acquire 100% Stake in Gellec for RMB5.1 Billion】On the evening of April 29, Foshan Plastics Group announced a major asset restructuring plan, proposing to acquire 100% of the shares of Gellec from 102 transaction counterparties, including Yuan Haichao, through the issuance of shares and payment in cash, with a transaction price of RMB5.08 billion. Gellec is a company in the field of wet-process lithium battery separators. In 2024, it incurred losses due to a supply-demand imbalance in the industry, but it turned profitable in Q1 2025. This acquisition will help Foshan Plastics Group quickly enter the lithium battery separator application market.
