On April 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for the polymetallic recovery project at the Tsumeb smelter of Sinomine Resource Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sinomine Resource") was held. The project focuses on the development of strategic metal resources such as germanium, gallium, and zinc, with a planned total investment of $223 million. It is designed to process 200,000 mt of slag annually and, upon completion, is expected to produce 33 mt of germanium ingots, 11 mt of industrial-grade gallium, and 10,900 mt of zinc ingots per year. While enhancing resource utilization rates, this project will minimize environmental impact, demonstrating Sinomine Resource's commitment to practicing "green mining" and making new contributions to Namibia's economic development.
