"The Voice of the Industry, We Listen Attentively."
The 3rd DRC-Africa Battery Metals Forum will be grandly held in Kolwezi from September 29-30, 2025! This edition continues to focus on Africa's potential in the global energy transition, including leveraging DRC and Zambia's abundant cobalt and copper resources for battery precursor manufacturing. Overall, the DRC aims to play a pivotal role in the global battery metals supply chain, driving energy transformation while promoting regional economic development and sustainable progress.

Industry Voices Lead the Way Forward
"The Voice of the Industry, We Listen Attentively. We're ready to embark on a new chapter for the DRC-Africa Battery Metals Forum, choosing Kolwezi as the venue for this grand event!" exclaimed Samukelo Madlabane, Mining Events Director at VUKA Group.

"We maintain close communication with industry partners and clients, extensively soliciting their feedback," Samukelo introduced. "There's consensus that relocating the forum to the heart of mining regions will better serve industry needs. We look forward to enhanced interaction with local mining companies, operators, and supporters, while creating an immersive platform for exchange and business collaboration among attendees."

Kolwezi, capital of Lualaba Province, has been a key mining hub in the DRC since the 1940s. Renowned for its rich copper and cobalt reserves, these metals serve as critical raw materials for power industries, battery precursor manufacturing, and essential components for smartphones, computers, and aerospace engines, long sustaining the country's economic lifeline.

Battery Metals Industry Focus
The DRC-Africa Battery Metals Forum has rapidly evolved into Africa's most influential professional gathering for battery metals stakeholders, uniting global producers, battery manufacturers, traders, end-users, investors, and NGOs across cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, graphite, manganese, rare earths, and 3T (tin, tantalum, tungsten) sectors.

The conference fosters an open and transparent exchange environment, serving as a core platform for advancing local battery manufacturing development in the DRC. With surging demand for batteries and EVs, this edition will further promote entire industry chain collaboration, enable local resource processing and industrial localization, and drive regional industrial revolution-style transformation.

As global energy transition accelerates, the forum promotes inclusive growth and sustainable development in battery metals. By enhancing local mineral value addition, activating regional markets, and advancing local industrial systems, it contributes to economic and social progress across the DRC and Africa.

Senior Participants' Enthusiastic Feedback:

"This marks my second participation in the DRC-Africa Battery Metals Forum. Building on the first edition's success, this event continues to provide an excellent platform for stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities in the DRC's battery metals sector. The speakers and organizers deserve applause. Many critical topics raised this year warrant follow-up, particularly regarding ongoing business environment optimization and investment attraction in the DRC."
- H.E. Lucy Tamlyn, U.S. Ambassador to the DRC

"The DRC-Africa Battery Metals Forum serves as an invaluable communication platform for key stakeholders including governments and private entities. It plays a pivotal role in facilitating connections and cooperation among industry experts. The organizers have done an outstanding job!"
- Adorin Amngaihnem Guitec, Managing Director, Arise IIP (India)
