SMM News on April 29: Today, rare earth market prices showed a slight downward trend. Specifically, in the oxide market, the price of Pr-Nd oxide fell to 407,000-410,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium oxide to 1.6-1.61 million yuan/mt, terbium oxide to 6.72-6.78 million yuan/mt, and gadolinium oxide remained stable at 161,000-163,000 yuan/mt. Holmium oxide prices held steady at 492,000-498,000 yuan/mt, while erbium oxide prices fluctuated between 298,000-303,000 yuan/mt.

In the metal market, Pr-Nd alloy prices remained stable at 499,000-502,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium-iron alloy prices fell to 1.57-1.58 million yuan/mt, terbium metal quotes dropped to 8.38-8.44 million yuan/mt, gadolinium-iron alloy prices decreased to 158,000-159,000 yuan/mt, holmium-iron alloy market prices fell to 500,000-510,000 yuan/mt, and lanthanum-cerium metal prices ranged from 17,000-22,000 yuan/mt.

Currently, rare earth market prices are showing an overall slight downward trend. Due to the lack of significant improvement in downstream end-use demand, magnetic material enterprises have shown low enthusiasm for metal procurement, and market inquiries have been relatively sluggish, leading to continued price declines. Considering cost factors, factories are keen to maintain price stability, with low-priced supplies in the market mainly held by traders. Magnetic material enterprises are maintaining a wait-and-see attitude, awaiting an improvement in end-use demand orders, and market sentiment is generally pessimistic. It is expected that in the short term, rare earth market prices will continue to show a slight downward trend.
