Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 29, KOTEI and SemiDrive officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking a major step toward jointly advancing next-generation intelligent cockpit and vehicle control development.

Leveraging SemiDrive's leadership in comprehensive automotive chip solutions and KOTEI's expertise in AI-driven automotive software, the two companies will collaborate closely to establish a new model of integrated "chip + software" development for mass production. Their shared goal is to accelerate the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry through innovative applications of AI technology.

The two companies said the partnership will redefine the conventional chip-software collaboration paradigm in the automotive sector. The duo jointly create a near-production-ready intelligent cockpit solution, built on SemiDrive's high-performance X9 smart cockpit SoC and its independently developed, automotive-grade E3 MCU series, and powered by KOTEI's A²OS vehicle operating system designed for centralized computing architectures. The solution enables efficient integration of core functions such as the center control system, instrument cluster, DVR, and AVM. It also ensures high adaptability across various hardware tiers, dramatically improving development efficiency and quality, and allowing OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to shorten time-to-market while reducing costs.

Looking ahead, as AI large models become increasingly integral to vehicle electronics and automotive-grade chips grow in computing power, the companies plan to deepen their cooperation. Future development will center on SemiDrive's latest X10 AI cockpit chip and KOTEI's strength in AI automotive software, focusing on breakthroughs in large model integration and full-scenario 3D engines to build a next-generation AI cockpit ecosystem.

Additionally, the partnership will expand into areas such as zone controller unit (ZCU), electric motor control, and intelligent chassis systems. This will be driven by SemiDrive's high-performance E3 MCU series and KOTEI's AutoSAR-compliant ZCU software system and high-reliability motor control algorithms.

KOTEI, a publicly listed AI technology firm specializing in automotive software, is committed to delivering comprehensive AI-powered development solutions to the automotive industry. SemiDrive focuses on high-performance, high-reliability automotive-grade chips, covering key domains such as smart cockpits and vehicle control—components at the heart of future vehicle electrical and electronic architectures.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
