On April 28, Xiaomi Auto announced that its charging network is continuously expanding. As of now, it has formed partnerships with 18 high-quality operators in the industry to build a charging and energy replenishment network, with over 1.26 million charging piles integrated into Xiaomi's charging map, covering 2,691 districts and counties in mainland China.
Among them, there are 94,000 supercharging piles and 970,000 DC fast charging piles, with 6,221 charging stations in service areas.
Previously, on January 26 this year, Xiaomi Auto announced that it had formed partnerships with 13 high-quality operators in the industry to build a charging and energy replenishment network, with over 1.02 million charging piles integrated into Xiaomi's charging map.
In addition to forming partnerships with operators to build a charging and energy replenishment network, in December 2024, Xiaomi Auto also initiated cooperation with NIO, XPeng Motors, and Li Auto to build a charging and energy replenishment network.
This cooperation means that over 14,000 NIO charging piles, over 9,000 XPeng charging piles, and over 6,000 Li Auto charging piles will be integrated into Xiaomi's charging map, supporting real-time viewing of dynamic data in the charging map. However, there are slight differences in the benefits offered by the three companies. Only some of Li Auto's charging piles support scanning the QR code in the Xiaomi Auto app for charging, while XPeng's charging piles support plug-and-charge services.
In terms of building its own energy replenishment network, although Xiaomi Auto has made some arrangements, it has not yet promoted it on a large scale. In March 2024, Lei Jun announced at Xiaomi Auto's launch event that Xiaomi Auto is building its own supercharging network, with the first batch being gradually rolled out in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, adopting a 600kW liquid-cooled supercharging solution.
However, in August of the same year, Lei Jun revealed that although Xiaomi has established some charging stations, there are currently no plans for large-scale construction. The current number of public bus charging piles in China is already sufficient, and Xiaomi Auto has driven the improvement of hundreds of issues by testing 70,000 public charging piles.
At that time, he further pointed out that Xiaomi's current top priority is to focus on automobile manufacturing and strive to make the Xiaomi SU7 the EV with the best compatibility and convenience with public charging piles.
In addition to public charging piles, Xiaomi has also launched home charging piles, which are advertised as "one-button lid opening, plug-and-charge," and support OTA upgrades.
According to publicly available information, in March this year, the delivery volume of the Xiaomi SU7 exceeded 29,000 units. Xiaomi Auto stated, "The progress in capacity expansion is going smoothly, and we are confident in achieving our annual delivery target of 350,000 units."
