460 million! This standalone ESS power station project was signed and launched in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan.

According to "Jiuzhai Release", on April 23, the "World Jiuzhaigou, Beautiful Aba" Beijing Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony, hosted by the People's Government of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, was held in Beijing. At the event, Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, successfully signed a new-type power system standalone energy storage project with Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Goldwind Zero Carbon).

It was reported that the new-type power system standalone energy storage project signed between Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, and Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Goldwind Zero Carbon) has a total investment of 460 million yuan. It adopts internationally leading new-type lithium battery technology to build an ESS power station with a capacity of 100MW/400MWh in the Jiuzhai-Mianyang Industrial Park, Sichuan Province. It is expected to generate over 200 million kWh of peak shaving electricity annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 180,000 mt.

According to available information, Goldwind Zero Carbon was established on December 29, 2022, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goldwind Science&Technology (002202). Goldwind Science&Technology is one of the earliest companies in China to enter the field of wind power equipment manufacturing. It possesses wind turbine generators with independent intellectual property rights. Relying on advanced technology, products, and years of experience in wind turbine generator R&D and manufacturing, it has ranked first in China for 14 consecutive years in terms of newly installed wind power capacity and first globally for three consecutive years. The company actively explores new business areas such as hybrid towers, energy storage, and energy-carbon services, delving into the development potential of new businesses and expanding new frontiers for the efficient development and utilization of wind energy resources.
