【Large-Scale ESS Battery Production Project in Qingdao to Commence Operation Soon】The battery cell plant for Great Power Energy's ESS battery production project (Phase I), with a total investment of RMB 13 billion, has now been completed. The Phase I construction of Great Power Energy's ESS battery production project comprises three buildings: a battery cell plant, a PACK plant, and a comprehensive building. Among them, the battery cell plant, spanning 93,000 m², is the largest monomer plant in terms of scale and capacity within the Great Power Group. According to the project leader, the main structure of the battery cell plant in Phase I was capped by the end of May 2024, and the main construction was completed in September of the same year. It is understood that the Great Power Energy ESS battery production project is planned to have a total investment of RMB 13 billion, covering an area of approximately 1,000 mu, and will be constructed in three phases. Phase I occupies 275 mu, with a capacity of 12 GWh. It primarily produces large-capacity 314Ah (ampere-hour) LFP battery cells for ESS, which are applied in large-scale energy storage systems, covering most scenarios such as electricity ESS, industrial and commercial ESS, household ESS, network energy, and smart energy.
