Shanghai (Gasgoo)- During the AUTO SHANGHAI 2025, AXERA, a leading Chinese innovator in AI chip development, announced a collaboration with Aptiv, a global technology leader in automotive and mobility technologies, to jointly develop advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) products.

Building on their existing mass-production projects, Aptiv will utilize AXERA's latest high-performance, low-power, and cost-effective ADAS chip, the M57, to develop a new generation of front-view intelligent cameras and corresponding ADAS solutions. This new system has already secured a mass-production contract for a European-bound vehicle model from a leading Chinese new energy vehicle startup.

The M57 is AXERA's next-generation ADAS chip, designed to meet global market standards and regulatory requirements, enabling the development of unified platform solutions for both domestic and international markets. Featuring fully self-developed IP across the processing chain, the M57 delivers robust sensing, computing, and data processing capabilities tailored for a variety of intelligent driving scenarios. It integrates an MCU to offer a complete single-chip solution and meets ISO 26262 ASIL-B functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity standards. Its ultra-low power design allows for broad compatibility across different vehicle models.

Looking ahead, AXERA and Aptiv plan to further deepen their collaboration, exploring new technologies, products, and applications in the ADAS field. The partnership is expected to expand across AXERA's broader automotive chip portfolio, accelerating the continuous evolution of advanced driver-assistance technologies.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
