Guangdong Zinc Premiums Surge by 95 Yuan/mt WoW Ahead of Labour Day Holiday

Premiums and discounts in Guangdong rose WoW by around 95 yuan/mt. As of Friday, mainstream 0# zinc quotations in Guangdong were at premiums of 480~520 yuan/mt against the market, and the Shanghai-Guangdong price spread widened to 60 yuan/mt. The Labour Day holiday is expected to start next week, but with the current high premiums, downstream sectors generally make just-in-time procurement, and premiums and discounts are expected to continue fluctuating at highs.
