The factory, with a total investment of $294 million, utilizes N-type solar cell technology to produce high-performance Gamma Series™ single-sided PV modules and Vega Series™ bifacial PV modules.
The factory is constructed in two phases. The first phase currently has an annual capacity of 2GW, while the second phase plans to build a solar cell factory of approximately 600,000 square feet, expected to be operational in H2 2026.
Boviet Solar is a subsidiary of Vietnam's PV Group. In Q4 2024, it announced a global strategic expansion, revealing plans to establish two new production sites in Southeast Asia and Europe, each with an annual capacity of 5GW. These sites are expected to commence operations in 2026, with locations in either Vietnam or Thailand, and Spain or Poland. By 2025, Boviet Solar's global annual capacity had reached 10GW, and this expansion plan will increase its global annual capacity to 15GW.

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
