According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, China's steel export value from January to March totaled $19.36 billion, a YoY decline of 4.8%. Based on this calculation, the average export price of Chinese steel from January to March was $705.7/mt, a YoY decline of 10.5%. Looking specifically at the price changes of HRC in some domestic and overseas regions, India, Southeast Asia, and China's overseas quotations showed varying degrees of decline. Correspondingly, it can also be observed that throughout March, although the total volume of China's steel exports increased, as domestic prices fell, China's steel export prices also weakened, indicating a situation of volume discount.
