The green energy supply continued to strengthen, with China's wind and solar power installations historically surpassing thermal power. The National Energy Administration released data today showing that in Q1 this year, China's wind and PV power combined added new installations of 74.33 million kW, bringing the cumulative installed capacity to 1.482 billion kW, surpassing thermal power installations for the first time. Since the beginning of this year, the proportion of coal power installations in China has continued to decline. By month-end March, coal power accounted for 34.9% of the total installed power generation capacity, a YoY decrease of 4.1 percentage points. The proportion of coal power installations in all provinces across the country has dropped below 50%, indicating a continued strengthening of China's green energy supply.
