Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 24, Horizon Robotics announced an expanded strategic partnership with Bosch, a global leader in automotive technology and services. Under the new agreement, Bosch will develop a next-generation multifunctional camera system based on Horizon's Journey 6B chip and the mid segment of its Bosch ADAS family (named "Zongheng" in Chinese Pinyin, meaning "all-round intelligent driving") powered by Horizon's Journey 6E and 6M chips. Both products have already secured designated deployment contracts from multiple automakers.

Bosch's next-generation multifunctional camera platform, built on the Journey 6B, features over 8 megapixels and a 120-degree horizontal field of view, with a detection range of up to 300 meters. This platform is designed to enhance the safety and comfort of SAE Level 2 driver-assistance systems. Mass production is scheduled for mid-2026, with contracts already secured from several leading global and Chinese automakers.

The Journey 6B is a next-generation intelligent in-vehicle computing platform tailored for ADAS and active safety applications, offering high performance and cost efficiency, making it ideal for integrated solutions across vehicle lines.

Meanwhile, the Bosch ADAS family for mid segment, based on the Journey 6E and 6M platforms, delivers computing power of up to 80 or 128 TOPS. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as BEV (Bird's Eye View) Transformer models and occupancy network perception algorithms. This enables a suite of advanced functions, including highway and elevated road assistance, city driving with up to 10 memorized routes, memory-based parking, and smooth autonomous parking. The system is set to implement end-to-end algorithms by the end of 2025.

To date, five automakers, including JETOUR, Dongfeng Motor, and BAIC Group, have committed to deploying the solution, with the first production model scheduled to hit the market in June 2025. Additionally, the first overseas project is expected to enter volume production in the first quarter of 2026.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
