A 2GWh ESS project by a battery cell enterprise has completed installation. It is reported that a 500 MW/2000MWh BESS project in Western Australia has fully completed installation. The project utilizes 640 sets of EnerC Plus containerized liquid-cooled energy storage systems provided by a domestic battery cell enterprise, as well as 160 inverters (PCS) supplied by a Spanish company. Currently, commissioning work is in full swing, and the project is expected to be officially connected to the grid and operational in H2 2025. With a total scale of 500MW/2000MWh, the project can meet the electricity needs of 785,000 households for a day and night. It is one of the largest ESS power stations in Australia and is also listed as a key project in the Western Australian government's energy transition strategy.
