The installed PV capacity exceeded 5 GW! Shanghai issued the 2025 carbon peaking and carbon neutrality work plan. On April 23, the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on the "Key Work Arrangements for Carbon Peaking, Carbon Neutrality, and Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Shanghai in 2025." It proposed promoting the diversified development of renewable energy such as wind and solar power, with the city's installed PV capacity exceeding 5 million kW, and striving to complete the grid connection of the first phase of the Jinshan offshore wind power project. The proportion of renewable energy in electricity generation will continue to increase, with the green electricity trading volume striving to exceed 7 billion kWh. The construction of green fuel capacity will be advanced, and major green fuel projects will be planned proactively.
