On April 15, 2025, the National Production Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply of Jordan announced in the Official Gazette of Jordan that, in response to the application from the domestic producer Philadelphia Solar Energy Company, it initiated an anti-dumping investigation on solar cells originating from or imported from China (reference English: Photovoltaic Cells assembled in modules or prepared as panels). The dumping investigation period for this case is from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The products involved are solar cells already assembled in modules or prepared as panels, falling under Jordan's tariff code 854143000. Unless extended (up to 6 months), the final ruling is expected to be made within 12 months from the date of the announcement. Interested parties should register for the response within 10 days from the date of the announcement, and foreign interested parties should submit the questionnaire within 45 days.
