South Korea to Impose Anti-Dumping Duties on Vietnamese Stainless Steel Products. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea stated that the country's trade regulator decided on Thursday to impose anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled stainless steel products from two Vietnamese companies. It is reported that the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) has made a final decision to recommend the Ministry of Strategy and Finance to impose tariffs of 18.81% and 11.37% respectively on stainless steel products imported from the two Vietnamese companies over the next five years. This decision was made after South Korean steel giant POSCO filed a complaint with the KTC against the Vietnamese companies a year ago. The KTC concluded that the dumping of Vietnamese steel products in South Korea has caused "material" damage to the local steel industry.
