The 6,000 mt High-Purity Lithium Sulfide Project Lands in Shandong
Recently, the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment released the "List of Environmental Impact Assessment Documents for Construction Projects Accepted in April 2025 (III)". The announced projects include a solid-state battery ESS material project with an annual production capacity of 26,000 mt of high-performance zinc sulfide and 6,000 mt of high-purity lithium sulfide. As a key raw material for electrolyte membranes, lithium sulfide has broad application prospects. The project is divided into two phases, each with a 24-month construction period. The first phase is expected to start construction in May 2025 and be completed in April 2027. The second phase is expected to start construction in May 2027 and be completed in April 2029.
