From January to March, the French power grid operator Enedis revealed that approximately 1,407 MW of new PV systems were connected to the French power grid. In comparison, the country added 956 MW of new PV systems in Q4 2024 and around 1 GW in Q1 2024. By the end of March 2025, the cumulative PV installations in France reached 23.5 GW. The French PV association Enerplan stated on its LinkedIn account that this growth would continue if the industry remains unimpeded and if public decision-makers remain steadfast in their support for renewable energy. The association mentioned recent regulatory changes, particularly the reduction in on-grid tariffs for rooftop PV systems below 500 kW.
