SMM, April 23,
According to customs data, China's aluminum profile exports (HS codes 76041010, 76041090, 76042100, 76042910, 76042990) reached 71,800 tons in March 2025, showing a 1.89% year-on-year decrease but achieving a notable 81.31% month-on-month growth.
Breakdown by export origin:
Guangdong maintained its dominant position in regional distribution, accounting for 48.60% of monthly exports, followed by Shandong (12.07%) and Jiangsu (8.51%). All top 10 exporting provinces saw month-on-month growth, with Liaoning (+1722.02%) and Hunan (+201.00%) showing particularly significant increases, mainly due to completed order negotiations and renewed long-term contracts.
Top export markets:
Southeast Asia remains the core export market with stable distribution patterns. Vietnam retained its top position (11.06%), followed by Malaysia (6.63%) and Israel (5.39%). While export recovery drives current growth, market caution prevails due to renewed trade frictions and narrowed import profit/loss ratios affecting export competitiveness.
Market dynamics and Forecast:
Overall, March 2025 saw substantial month-on-month growth in aluminum profile exports. SMM research indicates intensified buyer-seller negotiations as overseas markets enter tariff policy adjustment periods. Despite potential demand growth in East Asia, conservative purchasing strategies dominate due to global economic slowdown and rising trade barriers. April exports are expected to enter a month-on-month decline phase, with close monitoring needed for tariff policy adjustments in target markets.
