China's Passenger Vehicle Sales Up 12% YoY in Early April, but Decline MoM

According to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), national passenger vehicle retail sales from April 1 to 20 reached 897,000 units, up 12% YoY, but down 9% MoM. Cumulative retail sales since the beginning of the year totaled 6.024 million units, up 7% YoY. During the same period, national passenger vehicle producer wholesale volume was 993,000 units, up 14% YoY, but down 12% MoM. Cumulative wholesale volume since the start of the year reached 7.271 million units, up 12% YoY.
