A medium-sized gold mine was discovered in Hami, Xinjiang, with proven reserves of 5.8 mt.

According to CCTV News, a breakthrough in gold prospecting was recently achieved in the West Yemaquan mining area of Hami City, Xinjiang, where a gold mine was identified. The mine has a proven gold metal content of 5,857.68 kg, with an average gold grade of approximately 1.6 grams per ton of ore, and a maximum grade of 40 grams per ton.

According to the national "Classification Standards for Mineral Resource Reserves," the reserve scale of a medium-sized gold mine is defined as "greater than or equal to 5 tons and less than 20 tons." This gold mine meets the criteria for a medium-sized gold mine.
