Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 21, LiDAR company Hesai Technology announced strategic collaborations with Manycore Tech, KargoBot, and Kutting Technology during its tech day event, aiming to broaden the application of LiDAR in spatial intelligence, autonomous freight, and smart garden equipment fields.

Manycore Tech, known for its AI technology and GPU clusters, has partnered with leading tech companies, including those in Silicon Valley, to expand the application scope of SpatialVerse.

Hesai will work with Manycore Tech to develop a new solution for robot simulation training scenarios. By integrating Hesai's LiDAR with Manycore Tech's SpatialLM model and SpatialVerse spatial intelligence solution, the partnership will enable millimeter-level 3D spatial modeling and smart physical property labeling.

In the autonomous driving sector, Hesai's automotive-grade LiDAR, the AT1440, debuted in KargoBot's first autonomous transport robot and will be used in the compan's L4 autonomous truck platooning solution. As an autonomous trucking solution developer, this collaboration aims to accelerate KargoBot's large-scale commercialization of autonomous freight services, which has already achieved over 18 million kilometers of L4 platooning operation.

Additionally, Hesai will supply 300,000 JT-series LiDAR units to Kutting Technology, a member of the Dreame household cleaning robot ecosystem, to enhance the perception performance of its lawnmower robots. Kutting Technology focuses on developing smart garden products, including robotic lawnmowers and electric garden tools.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
