Three Key Aspects of Low-Carbon Development

First Aspect: End-User Electrification

Coal to electricity; oil to electricity; gas to electricity; electricity is the cleanest and easiest to convert.

Second Aspect: Low-Carbon Power Generation

Increase the proportion of power generation from clean energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydro, reduce the proportion of thermal power generation, and even replace thermal power generation.

Reducing User Demand Charges

The two-part tariff consists of a fixed charge plus a variable charge based on the energy consumed. The fixed charge covers the cost of maintaining the supply infrastructure, while the variable charge is based on actual usage. The first one is the fixed charge and the second is the running charge. The fixed charge is because of the maximum demand and the second charge depends on the energy consumption by the load.

After installing an ESS in an industrial and commercial park that implements the two-part tariff, the real-time power of the user's transformer can be monitored. When the real-time power exceeds the maximum demand, the ESS automatically discharges to monitor the real-time power, reducing the transformer's output and ensuring that the transformer's power does not exceed the limit, thereby reducing user demand charges and lowering the electricity costs for the industrial and commercial park.
