The rapid expansion of primary smelting capacity has further forced smelters to struggle for survival in a fiercely competitive market with thin profit margins. In the midstream secondary copper sector, ESG standards and the "dual carbon" goals have sparked a green revolution. The "reverse invoicing" policy and the Fair Competition Review Regulations issued in 2024 have quietly rewritten industry competition rules, and their impact on the entire industry chain will further deepen in 2025. In the downstream copper cathode trade market, the withdrawal of tax subsidies has compressed profit margins, accelerating the differentiation of copper processing material procurement structures, and the game between upstream and downstream has entered a white-hot stage.
