The environmental impact assessment for a 30,000 mt per year low-grade zinc oxide project in Southwest China has been revised, primarily to change the raw materials. The original production of low-grade zinc oxide from zinc oxide ore has been altered to utilize zinc-containing smelting waste, hazardous waste from steel mill dust, and low-grade zinc oxide ore. The production scale remains at 30,000 mt per year of low-grade zinc oxide.
