The international competitiveness of China's lithium-ion battery industry continues to strengthen, with further expansion of its global market share in power and ESS sectors. The US, Europe, and other countries and regions have imposed additional tariffs on China's lithium-ion batteries and NEVs. The US has imposed tariffs of 82.4% on imported power lithium-ion batteries and 57.4% on ESS and consumer lithium-ion batteries from China (which will increase to 82.4% on January 1, 2026). These tariffs will severely hinder the export of China's lithium-ion battery products. As of April 9, 2025.
