Approximately 0.79 yuan/Wh! Tender for 60MW/120MWh Industrial Energy Storage System in Sichuan

Polaris Energy Storage News: On April 21, the tender announcement for the energy storage system of the 60MW/120MWh Tianyuan Industrial Energy Storage Project in Yibin City, Sichuan Province was released. The project is funded by self-raised capital of 95 million yuan, with a unit price of approximately 0.7917 yuan/Wh. The bid inviter is Yibin Haifeng Herui Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products.

The project is located in Jiang'an County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and will be constructed on the reserved land within the 220kV Tianrui Substation of Yibin Haifeng Herui Co., Ltd. The construction plan involves the establishment of a new 60MW/120MWh new-type electrochemical energy storage device. The technical route adopts 0.5C LFP battery cells as the main component, utilizing an energy storage battery system and an integrated boost converter.

The project is divided into one section, and this tender is for the energy storage system. The facility design section will be provided within 30 days after the contract is signed; the equipment will arrive and construction drawings will be provided within 60 days after the contract is signed; installation, commissioning, and operation will be completed within 30 days after the delivery of the civil foundation, with a total project duration of 90 days.

This project allows for joint venture bidding.

According to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, in December 2025, producers with new energy wholesale sales exceeding 10,000 units accounted for 93% of the total wholesale sales of passenger NEVs that month. Based on preliminary January data, these producers achieved sales of 830,000 units in January. As most producers have already locked in their major sales figures, by applying the structural proportion from the previous month to the current month's data, the estimated wholesale sales of passenger NEVs nationwide in January were 900,000 units. According to comprehensive preliminary monthly association data: the estimated wholesale sales of NEVs by national passenger car producers in January 2026 were 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.
