General Administration of Customs: China's Copper Scrap Imports Decreased by 13.01% YoY in March, Breakdown of Sub-Data

Data from the Customs Statistics Online Query Platform showed that China's imports of copper scrap (copper scrap and shredded copper scrap) in March 2025 reached 189,722.465 mt, down 1.87% MoM and 13.01% YoY. Japan was the largest supplier, with imports from Japan totaling 27,017.314 mt, up 15.91% MoM but down 9.32% YoY. The US was the second-largest supplier, with imports from the US amounting to 22,482.045 mt, down 28.31% MoM and 51.46% YoY. Below is a breakdown of copper scrap imports in March 2025 based on data from the General Administration of Customs of China: Note: 1. The total import volume (total) also includes data from origins not listed in the table above.
