On April 21, SAIC Motor Chairman Wang Xiaojun stated at the IM Motors L6 launch event that IM Motors is SAIC’s "top - priority project" and sole premium brand. SAIC aims to use IM Motors to break into the premium market above 200,000 yuan and has established a clear "pyramid - shaped brand matrix" with IM Motors focusing on technological innovation and the premium intelligent electric vehicle market. Liu Tao, co - CEO of IM Motors, revealed the company’s 2025 product plan. This year will be a pivotal product year for IM Motors, which will introduce a pure - electric and range - extended dual - matrix. The pure - electric lineup will see updates and refreshes to the L6, LS6, and LS7 models, while the range - extended series will feature the LS6 range - extended version and a large - sized flagship range - extended SUV.
