SMM April 21 News:

Rare Earth Ore

Prices: The price of rare earth carbonate is around 33,700 yuan/mt, monazite is about 41,900 yuan/mt, and medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore is approximately 185,000 yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Currently, rare earth ore continues to be imported, but the purchasing situation of separation plants is poor, market sentiment is cautious, and the prices of ore products remain relatively weak.

Rare Earth Oxides

Prices: The quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide is about 416,000-418,000 yuan/mt, the mainstream quotation range for dysprosium oxide is 1.64-1.66 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide remains stable at around 7.14-7.18 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Last week, due to the spread of news from the ore sector, the price of Pr-Nd oxide began to stabilize and recover, but the overall fluctuation range remains relatively small; medium-heavy rare earth oxide prices are generally stable, with some products showing a slight downward trend.

Rare Earth Metals

Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd alloy is 515,000-517,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium-iron alloy is about 1.62-1.64 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal is approximately 8.9-8.95 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: With oxide quotations remaining firm, metal plants mostly follow the corresponding oxide quotations, but actual market transactions are poor, with some traders closing deals at lower prices, and the overall trading volume is relatively small.

NdFeB Blank

Prices: NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) is quoted at 136-146 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40M is quoted at 182-192 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 40H is quoted at 186-196 yuan/kg; NdFeB blank 45SH (ce) is quoted at 236-256 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Last week, upstream raw material prices continued to decline, and although there were some active purchasing news, the overall impact on market supply and demand was limited, with the general price trend showing a downward trend. Downstream magnet factories, due to poor order situations, adopted a strategy of purchasing as needed, and market sentiment remains cautious.

NdFeB Scrap

Prices: Pr-Nd recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 431-441 yuan/kg; dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 1,603-1,623 yuan/kg; terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap is quoted at 5,182-5,282 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Currently, due to the market psychology of rushing to buy amid continuous price rise and holding back amid price downturn, downstream companies' purchasing enthusiasm is not high. Additionally, as oxide prices have fallen, scrap prices have also been affected. Some traders have been actively selling during this period, leading to an increase in the trading volume of scrap, but the overall price trend is downward.
