On April 18, Honda Motor announced that the second model in its all-electric Ye Series, the Ye GT, will make its global debut at the AUTO SHANGHAI 2025.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 18, Honda Motor announced that the second model in its all-electric Ye Series, the "Ye GT," will make its global debut at the AUTO SHANGHAI 2025.

According to the company, the new model represents a fusion of Honda Motor's longstanding sporty DNA with cutting-edge intelligent technologies, aiming to elevate both driving pleasure and onboard comfort.

The Ye Series, launched in April 2024, plays a central role in Honda Motor's electrification strategy for the Chinese market. Built on the dedicated BEV (battery electric vehicle)-dedicated platform "Architecture W" and featuring a brand-new logo, the Ye Series is designed to deliver a smart and efficient electric mobility experience tailored to local consumers.

At its debut event, Honda Motor unveiled three models under the Ye banner—the Ye S7, Ye P7, and the concept car Ye GT—demonstrating its firm commitment to an electric future in China.

The Ye GT, developed and manufactured entirely in China, showcases a fastback silhouette and sharp, aerodynamic styling. The cabin showcased then adopts a race-inspired aesthetic, featuring a red-and-black color scheme, a sports steering wheel, a passenger display screen, and Huawei's intelligent cockpit system paired with iFlytek's voice interaction technology.

Honda Motor confirmed that the model was fully designed by its local R&D team in China, in collaboration with key partners including CATL, Huawei, iFlytek, and HSAE.

In addition to its new BEV lineup, Honda will also present a special highlight at the AUTO SHANGHAI—the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB21 Formula 1 car powered by Honda's power unit. A wide range of the brand's electrified vehicles, including BEVs, PHEVs, and HEVs, will also be on display.
