SMM April 17 News:
This week, graphitisation prices remained stagnant. Demand side, affected by tariffs, end-user market demand declined, making it difficult for anode material producers to effectively increase their operating rates, thereby leading to sluggish growth in current graphitisation tolling services demand, with no significant growth achieved. Supply side, the oversupply situation in the market is difficult to fundamentally reverse in the short term. Cost side, there were no significant fluctuations this week, still in a period of high electricity prices, and the issue of profit and loss imbalance for graphitisation tolling service providers persists. Against the backdrop of no significant changes in the supply-demand relationship, graphitisation tolling prices remained firm this week, supported by costs. In terms of supply and demand, downstream demand is expected to continue to be suppressed due to tariff adjustments, while the supply of graphitisation tolling services remains relatively ample. In this scenario, downstream anode enterprises may have a strong desire to bargain down prices. However, considering the long-term loss pressure faced by graphitisation tolling service providers, it is expected that graphitisation tolling services will continue to stand firm on quotes.
