The MIIT emphasized that automotive producers must fully conduct combined driving assistance test verifications and refrain from exaggerated and false advertising. Nearly 60 representatives from major automotive producers attended the meeting. The meeting stressed that enterprises should understand the requirements of the "Notice," carry out test verifications, clarify functional boundaries and safety response measures, avoid exaggerated advertising, fulfill their obligation to inform, and enhance product safety levels. According to the MIIT website, on April 16, 2025, the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a promotion meeting on the access management of intelligent connected vehicles and software online upgrades. Nearly 60 representatives from the Equipment Industry Development Center and major automobile producers attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on the product access and software online upgrade filing requirements outlined in the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Access, Recall, and Software Online Upgrade Management of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Products" jointly issued by the MIIT and the State Administration for Market Regulation. It listened to the implementation status and suggestions from automobile producers. The Equipment Industry Development Center introduced key considerations for the access management of intelligent connected vehicles and software online upgrades.

The meeting emphasized that automobile producers should thoroughly understand the requirements of the "Notice," fully conduct combined driving assistance test verifications, clarify system function boundaries and safety response measures, avoid exaggerated and false advertising, strictly fulfill the obligation of informing, and effectively assume the main responsibility for production consistency and quality safety, thereby enhancing the safety level of intelligent connected vehicle products.
