Amid the global wave of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy, the CLNB 2025 (10th) New Energy Industry Expo grandly opened today at the Suzhou International Expo Center. As an annual event in the new energy sector, the expo attracted industry giants, innovative enterprises, experts, scholars, and tens of thousands of professional visitors from around the world to witness the latest breakthroughs and future trends in the new energy industry.
01 Exhibition Area: Immersive Experience
Upon entering the CLNB 2025 New Energy Industry Expo, over a hundred exhibitors from around the world set up uniquely themed booths, showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies across the entire industry chain, from power batteries and energy storage systems to NEVs.
To further promote the development of the new energy industry, SMM specially invited leading enterprises in the domestic new energy industry chain, including Weihong Intelligent, Ganfeng Lithium, Sinomine Resource Group, Zijin Mining, REPT Battero, Great Power Energy, SVOLT Energy Technology, SD Lomon, Trinasolar, Hongzheng Energy Storage, CATL, Xinjiang Zhicun Lithium, and Yibu Drying, to gather at the CLNB 2025 (10th) New Energy Industry Expo. See how these top-tier enterprises are leading the forefront of product technology!
In the exhibition area, next-generation battery technologies such as solid-state batteries and sodium-ion batteries attracted significant attention. Several companies showcased their latest R&D achievements in high-energy-density, long-life battery products, bringing revolutionary improvements to the driving range and safety of NEVs. In the energy storage section, models of large-scale ESS power stations and household ESS devices highlighted the critical role of energy storage technology in grid stability, energy storage, and distributed energy systems.
02 Industry Summit: Authoritative Insights, Discussing the Future
The industry summit held concurrently with the expo was equally exciting. Government leaders, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, domestic and overseas scientists, and industry-leading entrepreneurs gathered together.
Key speakers included Kang Yi from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Tang Juxing from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Jinghe from Zijin Mining, Li Liangbin from Ganfeng Lithium, Yang Shunyi from BTR, Li Shuli from Great Power Energy, Ma Jinpeng from Ampace, and He Zhenyu from Linyang Energy. They engaged in in-depth discussions on core technologies, market trends, and policy regulations in the new energy industry. The main forum included the opening ceremony, academician forums, top-tier entrepreneur forums, and new energy industry forums, where industry authorities shared the latest technological trends and advanced manufacturing enterprises presented exclusive solutions.
Li Liangbin, Chairman of Ganfeng Lithium, delivered a speech at the CLNB 2025 New Energy Industry Expo:
"The lithium battery industry is currently at a low point, with lithium carbonate prices around 70,000 yuan/mt. Only high-quality projects can be profitable. We will allocate more resources to high-quality projects to build competitiveness. At the same time, we will align end-user and resource segment demands and focus on internal control and technological innovation."
Chen Jinghe, Chairman of Zijin Mining, also spoke at the CLNB 2025 New Energy Industry Expo:
"China has a relatively complete range of mineral resources, but their quality is poor. The self-sufficiency rate of major minerals is low, and there is a lack of influence. For key new energy minerals such as copper and lithium, China's reserves account for only 4% and 8% of the global total, respectively, with over 70% dependence on imports. Therefore, global resource allocation is an inevitable choice for top-tier international miners. Large, high-quality resources are mostly controlled by established Western mining companies, and Chinese companies are 'latecomers' in the global mining market."
Over the next two days, the sub-forums will include the Battery Raw Materials Forum, Battery Materials Forum, Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Forum, Lithium Battery Recycling Forum, All-Solid-State Battery Forward-Looking Technology Forum, Battery Auxiliary Materials Forum, PV ESS Forum, International Mining Investment and Development Summit, Overseas Market Forum, Low-Altitude Economy Forum, and the 3rd Suzhou Virtual Power Plant Ecosystem Forum. Don’t miss the excitement.
