SMM Steel, April 15: According to SMM statistics, the estimated total shipments in mainstream markets this week were 162,000 mt, up 15,700 mt WoW. By market:

Chart-1: Comparison of Arrivals in Mainstream Markets

Shanghai Market: Shipments in the Shanghai market increased slightly WoW. Specifically, shipments from north-east and south China increased, while shipments from north and east China remained stable. Looking ahead, the planned production of hot rolled products by domestic steel mills in April is expected to rise, and arrivals in mid-to-late April are likely to see a slight increase.

Lecong Market: Shipments to the Lecong market fluctuated rangebound WoW. Specifically, shipments from north China remained stable, while shipments from local mainstream resources also saw relatively small changes WoW. Looking ahead, mainstream steel products in April are expected to see discounts and a shift in pig iron, with overall arrival pressure remaining relatively small. However, arrivals in the Lecong market are expected to fluctuate rangebound next week.
