Announcement of the Winning Bid for the Investment Entity Selection Tender of the Heimatang PV Power Generation Project in Yunxian County, Yunnan

Published: Apr 15, 2025 13:26

On April 15, the announcement of the preferred investment entity for the second batch of new energy projects in Yun County in 2024—the Heimatang PV power generation project—was released. The first recommended winning candidate was CGN Wind Power Co., Ltd.; the second recommended winning candidate was Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Power Co., Ltd.; and the third recommended winning candidate was Yunnan Wudu New Energy Co., Ltd.

According to the tender announcement, the Heimatang PV power generation project has an installed capacity of 170,000 kW and a total estimated investment of 680 million yuan. The project site is located around Aihua Town. After completion, the project is expected to generate an average annual power generation of 229.5 million kWh, with an annual output value of approximately 68.85 million yuan, an annual tax increase of about 8.95 million yuan, and an annual saving of 91,800 mt of standard coal, while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 228,800 mt. The project should commence construction within 2 months after completing the filing (the time required for pre-construction procedures such as forest and land use approval, environmental and water conservation approval, and grid connection system approval can be excluded, with a maximum exclusion period of no more than 2 months). In principle, the project should be ready for operation within 8 months after commencement and achieve full-capacity grid connection within 1 year from the start of construction.

SMM PV News] UK Tightens Rules as Smart Meter Rollout Slows Ahead of 2030 Target
Smart meter deployment in the UK has hit a slump, prompting the government to introduce stricter regulations for energy retailers to ensure full domestic coverage by the end of 2030. While 21.8 million smart electricity meters were operating by the end of 2025, 7.8 million traditional meters still need replacing. To meet the 'Clean Power 2030' target, suppliers must submit binding annual deployment plans to Ofgem, replace outdated 2G and 3G meters before the 2033 network switch-off, and adhere to a strict 90-day window to repair faulty units or face penalties. This regulatory push aligns with the UK's broader efforts to integrate residential batteries and EVs into grid flexibility markets.

Türkiye's cumulative solar capacity reached 25,827 MW by the end of January 2026, representing a 641-fold increase since 2014. Following a 4.7 GW expansion in 2025 and the recent launch of its first major solar-plus-storage project (49.2 MW/34.1 MWh), solar now accounts for nearly 21% of the nation's total power. The government expects 2026 to be another record year, targeting an $80 billion investment pipeline to reach 120 GW of combined solar and wind capacity by 2035.
