Lindian Resources of Australia is committed to conducting on-site work at the Kangankunde rare earth project in Malawi to accelerate development timelines and reduce costs. The Kangankunde project is located 90 km north of Blantyre, Malawi, with monazite as the primary reserve. The estimated ore reserves are 23.7 million mt, with a total rare earth oxide (TREO) grade of 2.9%. The project's concentrate capacity is 15,323 mt/year, and it is expected to commence production in Q1 2026. Based on the FOB price, the operating expenditure for REO is estimated at $2.92/kg, making it one of the most cost-competitive assets globally.
