The 2025 China International Semiconductor Advanced Technology and Application Conference, hosted by the Advanced Semiconductor Industry Cluster, will be held in Suzhou on April 22.
Industrial Securities analysis indicates that global wafer fab equipment spending remains strong, with demand for lithography machines continuing to rise. ASML predicts that global semiconductor sales will exceed $1 trillion by 2030, with a CAGR of 9% from 2025 to 2030. From 2025 to 2027, global 300mm wafer fab equipment expenditures are expected to be $123.2 billion, $136.2 billion, and $140.8 billion, respectively, with YoY growth of 24%, 11%, and 3%. Lithography machines are the largest category in the semiconductor equipment market, accounting for 24% of the market share. With the continuous iteration of advanced logic and memory chip processes, the proportion of EUV lithography machines is steadily increasing. As the core equipment in the lithography process of chip manufacturing, the global front-end lithography machine market is currently monopolized by ASML, Nikon, and Canon. The localization of lithography machines is imperative and holds significant strategic importance.
According to the Caixin Theme Library, among the relevant publicly listed firms:
MaoLai Optics provides optical components for the lithography machine's optical system, including homogenization and relay illumination modules, projection lenses, and prism components for the workpiece stage displacement measurement system, which are core modules for achieving light uniformity and exposure imaging in lithography machines.
Zhangjiang Hi-Tech invested 223.45 million yuan in Shanghai Micro Electronics through its subsidiary Shanghai Zhangjiang Haocheng Venture Capital Co., Ltd. in October 2024, acquiring a 10.779% stake in the company.
