SMM April 14 News: PV cell prices began to decline, with varying trends across different sizes. The Topcon 210RN cell experienced a significant drop, with mainstream quotations at 0.3 yuan/W and the latest transaction price at 0.29 yuan/W, a decline of over 12%. The Topcon 183N and 210N cells had mainstream quotations of 0.3-0.31 yuan/W, with the latest transaction price at 0.295-0.305 yuan/W, showing a relatively small decline. Following the decline in silicon wafer and module prices, cell prices have also softened. Currently, the installation rush in April has subsided, leading to weaker demand for cells and rising inventory, especially for the 210RN cell, which had a production of over 16 GW in April. With sufficient stockpiling by module manufacturers, it is difficult to maintain the high prices and profits of the 210RN cell. Subsequent market sentiment continues to weaken, with both cost and demand support declining, leaving room for further pullback in cell prices.
