Customs: China's imports of copper ore and its concentrates increased by 1.8% YoY, January-March.

According to data released by the General Administration of Customs on April 14, China's imports of copper ore and its concentrates in March 2025 reached 2.394 million mt, with cumulative imports from January to March totaling 7.108 million mt, a 1.8% increase compared to 6.98 million mt in the same period last year.

In March 2025, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 467,000 mt, with cumulative imports from January to March reaching 1.303 million mt, a 5.2% decline compared to 1.375 million mt in the same period last year.

On the export side, China's exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis in March 2025 were 506,000 mt, with cumulative exports from January to March totaling 1.365 million mt, a 7.6% decrease compared to 1.477 million mt in the same period last year.
