SEMI: Global Semiconductor Equipment Sales Soar to $117 Billion in 2024

The latest report from the International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI) indicates that global semiconductor manufacturing equipment sales reached $117.1 billion in 2024, a 10% increase compared to $106.3 billion in 2023. Sales of wafer processing equipment grew by 9%, while sales in other front-end segments increased by 5%. This growth was primarily driven by increased investments in capacity expansion for advanced logic, mature logic, advanced packaging, and high-bandwidth memory (HBM), as well as a significant rise in investments from China.
