As of April 9, the total inventory of building materials in Guangzhou this week was 102,000 mt, down 13,000 mt WoW; rebar inventory was 23,000 mt, down 1,000 mt WoW; wire rod inventory was 79,000 mt, down 12,000 mt WoW.

While exporters acknowledge they cannot fully meet all overseas demand for September shipments, the intense international competition is ultimately anchoring the price trend for the new round of allocations at stable to slightly softer levels.
