Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., the overseas business arm of Dongfeng Motor, recently announced the grand opening of its commercial vehicle flagship store and Americas Regional Training Center in Guayaquil, Ecuador, marking a significant step forward in the company's globalization strategy in the Americas.

Located in Ecuador's largest economic hub and key gateway to the South Pacific, Guayaquil accounts for 60% of the country's commercial vehicle market and serves as a critical logistics node for the wider Andes region.

Dongfeng Motor's overseas commercial vehicle marketing division has established a five-in-one flagship complex integrating vehicle sales, retail financing, immersive user experience, spare parts supply, and technical training. Together with local partners, the company is building a "golden triangle" of brand value, channel networks, and intelligent services to offer end-to-end solutions for customers.

The Americas Regional Training Center functions as a technical talent hub under Dongfeng Motor's global strategy. It features a tiered training system for technicians, service advisors, and management personnel. The center is expected to host 20 training sessions annually, cultivating around 8 skilled professionals each year, and boosting regional aftermarket service capabilities.

With both facilities operational, regional service response times are projected to improve by 50%, while spare parts delivery cycles will be cut to 48 hours—contributing to higher customer satisfaction and service efficiency.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
