Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 10, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Leapmotor officially released the Leapmotor B10, the first model under its B Series, onto the market, offering five variants priced between 99,800 yuan and 129,800 yuan.

Built on the all-new LEAP 3.5 architecture, the B10 features a chassis jointly tuned by Leapmotor's in-house team and chassis experts from Maserati, a brand under Stellantis. The new model is also equipped with Leapmotor's advanced intelligent driving system.

The B10 adopts a cutting-edge design philosophy with a sleek, modern exterior. Its front fascia features a full-width LED light bar that visually aligns with the lower grille element, creating a cohesive, wider stance. The model is fitted with a LiDAR sensor and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 smart driving chip, enabling both highway and urban navigation-assisted driving.

As for the side profile, the B10 continues Leapmotor's family design language with a low-slung, aerodynamic silhouette and dynamic character lines, giving the SUV a sporty and expressive appearance. The vehicle measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.

Inside, the cabin is designed around the theme of "rhythmic geometry," characterized by soft rectangular elements that create a vibrant and relaxed ambiance. The B10 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295 chip dedicated to smart cockpit, delivering 30 TOPS of AI computing power, along with doubled CPU performance and triple the 3D rendering capability.

In terms of powertrain, the B10 is offered as a BEV (battery electric vehicle) model with two electric motor options delivering peak outputs of 132 kW and 160 kW, respectively. All variants come standard with a 56.2 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC-rated driving range of up to 510 kilometers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
