Today, The DCE iron ore futures opened higher in the morning and held up well. The most-traded contract I2509 finally closed at 707, with a daily increase of 3.06%. Traders' willingness to sell strengthened, while steel mills purchased as needed.

On May 17, lithium carbonate futures rose 2.45% to 106,450 yuan/ton (~14,723.37 USD/ton). The battery-grade index dropped to 106,882 yuan/ton (~14,783.13 USD/ton).
