Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 8, Dongfeng Motor's new energy vehicle brand NAMMI officially unveiled its latest compact all-electric SUV, the NAMMI 06. Built on the Dongfeng Quantum Architecture No.3 platform, the vehicle is slated for market launch in the second quarter of 2025. Pre-order for the model will start at the end of the month.

Notably, the NAMMI 06 is developed in both left- and right-hand drive versions to suit the global market.

Visually, the NAMMI 06 features a futuristic design shaped by angular geometric lines. Key elements include T-shaped LED front light bars, triangular crystalline taillights, and two-tone geometric side mirrors. The vehicle measures 4,306mm in length, 1,868mm in width, and 1,645mm in height, with a 2,715mm wheelbase. A full-width rear light strip and crossover-style rear bumper enhance the modern look.

Inside, the NAMMI 06 is equipped with a large floating central screen, slim digital cluster, dual-spoke steering wheel, and column-mounted gear selector. It also features a panoramic sunroof, 50W wireless phone charging, 128-color ambient lighting, and three hidden cupholders in the front center armrest.

The new model is powered by a 135 kW single electric motor and supports fast charging via Dongfeng Motor's Mach-E battery with 3C ultra-fast charging technology—adding 100 km of range in just 5 minutes. The approach and departure angles are 23 and 30 degrees, respectively.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
