Recently, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources of Australia released the latest edition of the "Resources and Energy Quarterly," indicating that global spot prices for thermal coal are expected to decline gradually in the coming years, from $135/mt in 2024 to $98/mt in 2030. As coal prices continue to fall, Australia's thermal coal export revenue is also projected to decrease from $34 billion in the fiscal year 2024-25 to approximately $22 billion in the fiscal year 2029-30.
